Terms of Service

1. About PastSweep

PastSweep is a service operated by Polar Apps, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada ("we," "us," or "our"). PastSweep allows users to upload their X (Twitter) archive file and receive an automated analysis identifying posts that may attract negative attention under current social norms. By accessing or using PastSweep at pastsweep.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Description of the Service

PastSweep offers two tiers of service:

• Free Summary Scan: After uploading your archive, you receive a high-level summary showing your overall risk profile and category breakdown, with no post-level detail.
• Deep Review ($4.99 CAD, one-time): A one-time payment unlocks a detailed, post-by-post breakdown of flagged content. Access is valid for 48 hours from the time of payment.

After 48 hours, paid access expires and detailed results are no longer accessible. We do not offer subscriptions or recurring billing.

3. Your Archive and Content

You are solely responsible for the archive file you upload. By uploading your archive, you represent that:

• The archive belongs to you and contains only your own X (Twitter) account data.
• You have the right to upload and process the content in your archive.
• You are not uploading content belonging to another person without their consent.

We do not claim any ownership over the content of your archive. We process it solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you.

4. No Account Required

PastSweep does not require you to create an account. Your scan is identified by a unique session token. You are responsible for retaining your results link during your 48-hour access window. We are not able to recover access after it expires.

5. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment information. The Deep Review fee is $4.99 CAD, charged once at the time of purchase.

Refund policy: Because access to your detailed results is granted immediately upon payment, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds once the Deep Review has been unlocked. If you experience a technical issue that prevented you from accessing your results, please contact us at support@pastsweep.com and we will do our best to assist you.

6. Nature of the Analysis

PastSweep uses automated keyword matching and AI-assisted analysis to identify posts that may attract negative attention under current social norms. The Service is intended as an informational tool only.

We do not make moral judgments about you or your posts. Flagged content is not a determination that any post is wrong, harmful, or illegal — it is a neutral signal that the post may warrant your attention.

The analysis is automated and imperfect. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of the results. You should use your own judgment when reviewing flagged posts.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload archive files belonging to another person without their explicit consent.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, upload limits, or access controls.
• Upload files containing malware or malicious content.

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service to anyone who violates these Terms.

8. Data Retention

We retain data for the minimum time necessary to deliver the Service:

• Free scan data is automatically deleted after 24 hours.
• Paid scan data is automatically deleted after 7 days from the date of payment.
• We do not sell, share, or retain your archive content beyond these periods.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Polar Apps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim (up to a maximum of $4.99 CAD).

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
